Rider Bonner Community Scholars Commitment Form

I. Purpose
It is the purpose of this agreement to outline the terms of Membership in the Rider Bonner Community Scholar Program and commit to membership for the 2023-24 academic year.

III. Service Agreement
I understand to fully participate and engage in the Rider Bonner Community Scholar Program I am required to:

Complete 11-14 hours of community service a week in order to complete 300 hours by 5/30/24
Attend and actively engage in weekly enrichment and training activities (Wednesday Meetings)
Log my service hours in BWBRS every 2 weeks
Participate in New Bonner Orientation (Tuesday August 29 to Friday September 1, 2023)
Participate in additional Campus Wide Service Events including: National Days of Service, Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week, Engaged Service Learning Programs
Attend Winter Retreat (dates TBA) and First Year Experience (during Spring Break 2024)
Participate in mid-year and end of year assessment and evaluations

I understand that I will be receiving a scholarship of $3500 each year during my participation in the program. The scholarship will be split $1750 in the Fall semester and $1750 in the Spring semester.

IV. Additional Agreements
I understand that I must be in good academic and conduct standing with Rider University. I must maintain a 2.5 GPA. If I do not maintain a 2.5 GPA, I recognize that I will be placed on academic probation during which time I have one semester to show significant academic progress. I understand that I must maintain a level of personal conduct that reflects positively upon the Bonner Program and myself. I will agree that the Program Director may review my records with the Office of Community Standards during my time in the program.

V. Authorization
I hereby acknowledge by my signature that I have read, understand, and agree to all terms and conditions and accept membership in the Rider Bonner Community Scholar Program for the 2023-24 academic year. Failure to meet any of the requirements may result in the termination of membership and loss of financial benefit.
